The Automated Collections are curated by QxMD’s algorithm, and are automatically updated weekly. They are based on Read’s top trending papers and the most popular papers for each specialty within Read.
From the homepage, click on the collections tab on the bottom of the screen to view the "My Collections" page. 
Press Edit on the top right, to see the list of collections. Tap the collection you want to follow, then tap Follow at the bottom of the screen.
If you no longer wish to follow a collection, tap on it, then tap Unfollow on the bottom of the screen.
