What Is Endnote?

 is a software application that is used to cite sources, write research papers, and even match your manuscript to a scientific journal. It is free to Touro students, faculty and staff.  It is available as a full desktop software package and as a free, online basic account.

Installing Endnote

If you are interested in getting started with Endnote Basic, sign up for a free account!  All the key features you need are available with the free, basic account.

Check the he EndNote online compatibility & requirements page to make sure your technology meets the basic requirements. 

The following two plug-ins will make your citation gathering, writing, and citing a lot more efficient.  These two utilities will enable you to capture references with ease and then incorporate the citations into your Word document.

  1. Capture References
  2. Cite While You Write (Only works if MS Word is installed.  CWYW plug in is NOT compatible with tablets).
