Boards & Beyond: Student Accounts

Create a Boards & Beyond account

First and Second year students:

  1. Go to Touro's Boards&Beyond landing page.
  2. Click on
  3. Enter your Touro email address then click 
  4. You will receive a verification email. Click the link in the email. A registration page will open. (You may see a message saying you already have a McGraw Hill Account, which includes Boards &Beyond, First Aid Forward, Access Medical, and more. If so, Boards & Beyond will use your McGrawHill Account password).
  5. Enter your information; write down your username.
  6. Copy and paste this Access Code: qSc0BcI3BLI106.
  7. Click Sign Up.

You now have 180 days of access to all of Boards & Beyond! Use the dropdowns to switch between Step 1, Step 2/3, the OMM Series, and Clinical Confidence.

After your account has been created, go to Touro's Boards&Beyond landing page, click on and enter your username and password.

Third and fourth year students:

  1. Go to Touro's Boards&Beyond Landing Page.
  2. Click Create Account. You must use your Touro email address.
  3. Click Verify. You will receive a verification email.
  4. Click the link in the email. A registration page will open.
  5. Enter your information; write down your username.
  6. Copy and paste this access code: qSc0BcI3BLI106.
  7.  Click sign up.

You now have access to all of Boards & Beyond! Use the relevant dropdowns to switch between Step1, Step 2/3, the OMM Series, and Clinical Confidence.

You may now sign in with your username and password from anywhere using any Boards&Beyond link.

Every 180 days, you must sign in from Touro's Boards & Beyond Landing Page or while connected to TouroCOM’s wifi/network to maintain access to Touro's subscription.

Connect Boards&Beyond with First Aid Forward

McGraw Hill's integration of First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond means you can navigate seamlessly between the two resources, enriching your learning experience by enabling you to to dive deep into the comprehensive content, quizzes, and videos of both sites.  

To enable this integration, you must:  

  • Use your Touro email address.

  • Create a First Aid Forward account 

  • Create a Boards & Beyond account. NOTE: you must make a new B&B account even if you already have an existing account!

  • Integration will occur when you register for the second of the two accounts

Create Your First Aid Forward Account

If you want access to both Step 1 and Step 2, you will need to register for each product separately. You’ll then have access to both products on one First Aid Forward account.

To create your accounts, go to:

Step 1: https://firstaid.mheducation.com/step-one

Step 2: https://firstaid.mheducation.com/step-two 

  1. Enter your Touro email address.
  2. Enter your personal information. (if you already have a McGraw Hill Account, which includes Boards&Beyond, Access Medical, and more, the site will skip this step).
  3. Choose your account creation or sign-in method.
  4. You will receive an email with a link to verify and sign into your account. Click the link.

If you registered for both products, switch between them using the dropdown in your profile icon.

 

You now have access to First Aid Forward for 180 days!
After 180 days, sign in again from the Step 1 or Step 2 links and you’ll get an email to reverify your account for another 180 days. If you want to reverify access to both products, sign in from each link once every 180 days.

NOTE: Graduating students can extend their access by reverifying shortly before graduation!

Troubleshooting

I tried creating a Boards&Beyond account, but I see a yellow pop-up that says “This email is already registered.”

This means you already have a Boards & Beyond account with your institutional email address. To fix this: 

  1. Sign into your the existing Boards & Beyond account
  2. Go to My Profile
  3. Change your Touro email address to a personal email address
  4. Follow the steps again to create an account--you will now be able to create a new account with your Touro email (which you need to do to be affiliated with your institution's prepaid subscription).

First Aid Forward and Boards & Beyond aren't talking to one another. Did you create a new Boards & Beyond account using your Touro email? You need to do this even if you already have a Boards & Beyond account to enable the integration. 

Password trouble? Boards & Beyond and First Aid Forward are part of your McGraw Hill Account, along with Access medical and more. Resetting the password for one site will reset it for the other(s).

Lost access to First Aid Forward? You just need to reverify your account! Sign in from the Step 1 link or the Step 2 link to initiate the reverification process. This step is necessary every 180 days.
