ClinicalKey: CME

Earn CME

ClinicalKey offers its subscribers FREE Internet Point of Care CME credit for self-directed learning to improve or enhance professional practice and/or knowledge base at the point of care. CME credit is provided by the Elsevier Office of Continuing Medical Education (EOCME). The EOCME is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

The EOCME designates this Internet Point-of-Care activity for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ for each search conducted through ClinicalKey. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

You will need a ClinicalKey personal account to earn your credit.

How to Earn CME Credits:

  1. Identify a clinical question relevant to your professional practice.

  2. Perform a search in ClinicalKey to answer your clinical question.

  3. Access the most relevant book, journal, or Clinical Overview content, and your search will be automatically recorded as “Potential CME.”

How to Claim CME Credits:

  1. When you are ready to claim your CME credit, click on the CME link, and filter by the time frame you would like to review.

  2. Select the “Query” for which you would like to claim credit.

  3. Review your Credit Details, answer the evaluation questions and click “Submit” to obtain AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.

  4. Certificates can then be viewed and/or printed.

The American Osteopathic Association (AOA) automatically recognizes AMA PRA Category 1 Credit ™ as AOA Category 2 credit. This Point of Care activity will be granted Category 2-B credit hours.
