What is Lexidrug?

Lexidrug is a collection of content sets and clinical tools that provides users with robust clinical drug information.

  • Assists in the diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases.
  • Identify loose or unlabeled medications by searching based on imprint(s), dosage form, color(s), and/or shape. Database includes images of more than 22,000 drug products.
  • Toxicology resource for assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of poisonings and drug overdoses.
  • Analyze a patient’s entire drug and natural product profile, identify potential interactions, and obtain patient management options.
  • Determine the compatibility and stability of IV drugs in a wide variety of solutions and combinations with this tool that incorporates content from Trissel’s™ 2 Clinical Pharmaceutics Database.
  • Calculators – access more than 130 medical calculations to assist in drug dosing, drip rates and organ function assessment. 
  • Detailed descriptions of diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Information on patient preparation, specimen collection/handling, and clinical test result interpretation. 
  • Patient Education packets with information on medications, conditions, and/or procedures.

Access Lexidrug's mobile app

Directions For Access

1. Access Lexidrug through the Sirota Library's website by clicking onin the center column.

2. Go to the Wolters Kluwer account page

3. Fill out the "Create Account" form. If you have already created a Wolters Kluwer account, skip to "Login here"
When you fill out the form:

  • Under Occupation, select either "Pharmacist-student" or "Physician-student"
  • For Practice setting, choose "Academic Institution"
  • Use your Touro email.

4. You should see the message "You've successfully created an account".  Click on "Log in now".

9. Select your platform and whether you already have the app downloaded

10. Follow the instructions that appear on the screen

1. Go to the Sirota Library's website.

2.  Click on A-Z Resources and go to Lexidrug 

3.  Choose OpenAthens
