Poster Printing: Printing in Harlem

Poster sessions at conferences and professional meetings are a way to visually convey the details of your research or conclusions. This guide will offer you the basics in design, content and printing resources.

Printing posters at the Sirota Library

The library staff on the Harlem Campus can print posters for conference presentations and student club events.

Advance approval by an instructor, faculty advisor, or dean is necessary.
An appointment date and time must be scheduled in advance. The request must contain a ppt or pdf of your poster and your faculty approval email.

Posters will only be printed once! Let us know if you want to preview your poster on the computer screen before it is sent to the printer.

  • We can only print posters from PowerPoint or PDF files.

  • The library staff do NOT edit posters.

There is no standard poster size!.  The maximum dimension for one side of the poster is 44". The most common size is 36”x48”. We can print either portrait or landscape (landscape is more common for posters). PowerPoint templates with Touro logos can be found on the Creating a Poster page of this guide.

When filling out the appointment form:

1. Check the dimensions of your poster by clicking on the Design tab, then clicking on Slide Size, then Custom Slide Size.Image result for powerpoint custom slide sizepowerpoint slide size menu

Enter these dimensions on the appointment form

2. Add your poster file and faculty approval email in this box

Please contact the library with any questions or if you have difficulty scheduling an appointment.
