RefWorks: Import from PubMed

Exporting citations from PubMed to RefWorks

  1. Use the check boxes to select citations from your search results list or Clipboard.
  2. Click "Send to" and choose Citation Manager.
  3. Click "Create file".
  4. You will see an nbib file on the bottom of your web browser.
  5. Open RefWorks and sign in to your account
  6. Click on "Add" then choose "Import references
  7. Drag the nbib file to the middle of the screen 

Search PubMed from Within RefWorks

1.  Open RefWorks and sign in to your account,

2.  Click on "Search Databases" and select PubMed. 

3.  Enter your search terms or click on "Advanced" on the right side of the search bar to enter a more specific search.  The results list will contain references links back to PubMed, but these links won’t give you the full-text access

4.  From the search results screen, select which citations you want to save then click on "Import"  in the upper right corner.
